Our free software folks in India could really use a hand. Please donate to them if you can.

@arh Looks like something different from FSF India: fsf.org.in/

Any idea if/how they are related?

@arh @eliasr FSF India and FSCI are different entities. FSF India is a legally registered non-profit organization with hierarchy. FSCI is a community without any hierarchy, closer to anarchy and all members get voting rights in decisions, there is no leader etc. FSCI is not even registered legally. As far as I know, FSCI is the most active free software group in India, in terms of activism, campaigning, outreach, running privacy-respecting services for public etc. @praveen @sahil

@eliasr
Both shares the same goal of advocating Software Freedom, but use different organizational structure.

FSF India is a traditional, registered, hierarchical, not for profit organization.

FSCI is a non-hierarchical, community of volunteers. We also provide many Free Software powered services to the public, so more like disroot, riseup, nixnet or autistici in this approach.
