@itsfoss DAWO is presented today as digital autonomy for government. Fine. But OpenAI was also born as a nonprofit. The real question is what happens after adoption: OS → infrastructure → data → AI → coordination. We should watch what DAWO becomes, not just what it is called.

Empirically, complex infrastructures accumulate data, integrations, contracts, users, compute and institutional dependencies around the software. Once those layers converge, “just fork it” is technically possible but structurally far less simple.
