Trump's focus? Get the war settled to restart relations and trade with Russia. As if nothing happened.
Trump expressed hope that the war in Ukraine could be resolved within a few months, after which Moscow and Washington could restore relations and resume trade. He claimed Putin wants to do business with the U.S. and "make a lot of money for Russia," adding, “I think we can make a deal.”

@noelreports This and his other actions are consistent with the idea of allying with Russia against China. It's interesting that Trump went back to Obama's ideas of reset with Russia, rather than continuing Biden's more confrontational stance.
