🇩🇪 German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has once again refused to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine, citing the need to avoid a NATO-Russia war, reports n-tv.
💬 "It would be a mistake to provide long-range weapons that could strike deep into Russia," he said, reiterating Germany's role as Ukraine's second-largest military supplier.
@noelreports It is Scholz’s mistake to think that we are not already at war with Russia.
Doesn't seem Germany is prepared or wanting war 'now'. This the proper move of Putin. Attacking while EU struggles with energy, economy and war supplies. Expecting EU to not engage too much.
Do you want ww3?
@tuxicoman @noelreports No, I don’t want WW-III. But Putin will only be stopped by force. He has been setting up for WW-III ever since he came to power. Georgia should have been a wakeup call for us. Syria should have been. Crimea should have been. The Donbas should have been. Trump should have been. The full invasion of Ukraine in 2022 finally woke most of Europe (if slowly), but it seems Scholz is still hitting the snooze button again and again.
What is the point to start fighting if you don't have reasonable chances to win? First build a war economy that gives you advantage then fight.
If germany would send an ultimatum to Putin today, I guess democracy in Germany would stop immediately due to protestation.
The defense always have been Russia can't attack strong because its economy would collapse fast. All EU tactic went this route. Where are we on this road? Did we fail completely and lost because of that
@tuxicoman @ArtHarg @noelreports All intercontinental ballistic missiles are hypersonic by definition. "Hypersonic" is a word that Russia likes to use to scare people more.
@elgregor @ArtHarg @noelreports
Thanks. I didn't know that.
