I heard this fiction story many years ago but it fits this situation, so here it is:

@Mehrad Do you know the actual source of this quote? I've heard it attributed to Bolesław Wieniawa-Długoszowski, though in slightly different form. ("You fight for honor? We do for freedom. So everyone fights for that, which they lack.") I'm not sure if he was the first one to say it and I'd like to learn more, but searches didn't return anything useful.

No, I heard it back when I was in highschool from my grandfather as a fun take on such arguments. Of course it is not historical because Napoleon and Churchill didn't live in the same era 😅
I also did some searching and didn't find a source for same or similar quote.
