I have seen people on here say they cancel Lyft/Uber rides when the driver has a #Tesla. While I’m totally on board with “swasticars LOL,” I personally would not do this.
A lot of rideshare drivers are doing the job to make ends meet because they are un- or underemployed. Maybe they weren’t in a precarious financial situation when they got the car (whatever car it is) but they probably are now.
It’s very easy to fall through the cracks in America.
@MisuseCase many are car poor, meaning they bought more car then they can afford. These same people are often upside down on their car, they owe more then the car is worth.
@MisuseCase yeah, uber was moonlighting as an leasing company for awhile. I believed it was called uber black/x, the idea was that drivers would leas luxury cars from uber. To provide a more "premium"-experience to riders.
I can't imagine that ending well for anyone.
