@MisuseCase many are car poor, meaning they bought more car then they can afford. These same people are often upside down on their car, they owe more then the car is worth.
@MisuseCase yeah, uber was moonlighting as an leasing company for awhile. I believed it was called uber black/x, the idea was that drivers would leas luxury cars from uber. To provide a more "premium"-experience to riders.
I can't imagine that ending well for anyone.
@ekg That’s true too. A lot of people take on rideshare driving to pay off the cost of their car. I think rideshare companies even recruit drivers by suggesting this practice to them! It’s a scam.
