I'm using #GrapheneOS and if I install #FDroid
It shows the launcher, TalkBack, and the #AOSP music player but not things like messages, dialer, browser.

Anyone better with #Android know why? I thought they would all be system apps or something and not shown. I'm just curious as to what's different between the apps I mentioned.

@mfjurbala The F-Droid repository has (outdated) builds of those apps. They're not going to be compatible with the versions you have installed on your system, as those are signed by F-Droid, and what you have is signed by GrapheneOS.

You see them in F-Droid as "installed" because they have the same app id as the ones you have installed.

Got it thanks.

I figured it had to do with the apps being in their repo but didn't think of app ids matching. Makes sense.

@mfjurbala @matchboxbananasynergy you can see more details if you go to the "App Details" page for those apps, then look at "Versions"
