Amstetten City Center aka the local mall that sped up the hollowing out of the center of the town I grew up in, turning it into a shell of its former self over just the past 3 decades, now features a #BYD showroom.
Decidedly mixed feelings, and yeah, the clean-energy revolution is well underway.
@gwagner Victor Gruen, the inventor of the mall who grew up in Vienna, would agree: "...those bastard developments. They destroyed our cities." He did manage to redeem himself by helping to pioneer the car-free pedestrian zones in #Vienna in the sixties.
