@dos I've ran into many random issues doing that (unexpected crashes, issues with syncing) and unfortunately I'm stuck with signal for quite a few of my friends, coworkers and company events.

For example, logistics for osfc.io were organised using Signal because (as you would expect from company ran by hackers) we only use Slack in web-browsers or the Linux "application" on company-provided machines. Strict work/personal separation means we use Signal for event coordination while on the go without (potentially) leaking sensitive information if any of our personal devices would've gotten compromised but that also means I need reliability.

Signal Desktop royally sucks but at least works and since I always have my Chromebook with me, I technically wouldn't need a phone at all
