Google's disastrous imminent plan - to block Android apps from devs who don't hand over ID to Google - will not affect me directly, because I use GrapheneOS.

Nevertheless, this is pushing me away from Android. I don't want to be part of what Google is pushing.

My plan is to move to postmarketOS, a Free software, non-Android, mobile OS.

I have already started, but it will still take me some time.

(I have tried others, including Sailfish, without much luck.)

@neil
What other apps than OpenSource would there be available?
Whould you get a Signal-App, or Authentication Apps from banks?
"official" wallets?

@LeelaTorres There are apps for Signal, else one might use a bridge.

Banking apps, probably not, but I plan to use their websites instead.

@neil @LeelaTorres For banking apps it depends on a particular bank. I can use mBank PL app for authorization and mobile BLIK payments on a Librem 5 in Waydroid with no troubles.

@dos @LeelaTorres Yes, it does depend on whether one is willing to use Waydroid or not. I am not ruling it out, but my experience with it on postmarketOS was not amazing.
