The work on upgrading the operating system for the #Librem5 Linux phone is progressing well.
The work on this is funded by #Purism and people that have totally optional PureOS subscriptions.
The name of the official Purism #Linux distribution for the Librem5 is #PureOS.
The current version is #Byzantium, the next version will be #Crimson.
Taking an PureOS subscription helps funding.

@janvlug sadly, *made in the USA* is now an instant red flag, not being able to verify how much the corruption has affected the product.
@richardwonka The "standard" #Librem5 is made in China.
The software is fully free and #opensource and can be inspected.
@janvlug then I wonder where the repeated claim “made in USA” comes from. Definitely even less trust inspiring if they lie about that.
