SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers)drops the paywall on all its standards [1]. One of the reasons: AI. I read that as them hoping to gain more relevance by having their standards added as training material. Wouldn’t that be a happy little accident? Someone tell ISO! ;)
