Hang on, how many computer developers and bitcoiners are suddenly trans over the past ten years?

Don't know if this is a question can be answered on Fedi because we are vastly, pseudo-anonymous, but trying to work out whether this is just a coincidence, or ventilation and air quality in rooms with electronics, or radiation, or people who have a proclivity for computer science are just more prone to become trans later in life than most people.

We don't know senior coders who are trans though.

We only ask this because we continually see stories of #computerScience folk becoming trans.

Just today, we learned that one of the original developers of #reddit is now trans.

Maybe the very ingenious have trans traits but the intuitive sense is ringing an alarm bell. Perhaps the first alarm bell for us was the apparent #lobotomy of #Lee, the original developer at Cloudflare.

Anyway, the big story here for the sake of completeness, is that of the three original developers of #Reddit, the other, #AaronSwartz, was pro-freedom of information and sharing truths, defending #JulianAssange, and supposedly driven to commit #suicide in 2013.

Today, #JessicaAshooh, a #warmongering #thinkTanker for #NATO, reportedly responsible for half a million deaths in the #MiddleEast is now #DirectorOfPolicy at reddit.

Traders, don't use their tools, #DeleteReddit.

@dsfgs computers are not making people trans. They felt their workplace and community was hostile to trans people and they did not come out. Now they feel safer and accepted they are publicly coming out.

@dean
We do consider this. Maybe the more senior folk don't feel like its worth coming out, still because their peers who are their age have old ideas, or they just assume it'll be too difficult for their peers to adjust.

@dean
The point was mooted anyway because we misinterpretted a joke, and a guy just had a feminine sounding name to us, being 'Alexis'.
