First on the list: jrnl

jrnl is a simple journal application for your command line.
Since ditching FB about 3 yrs ago I wanted a way to document my life in an honest way for myself. A place I don't consciously or unconciously filter the bad parts out. My workflow normally is to use my Tandy WP-2 (https://redd.it/8gkeks) for a distraction free reflection on my thoughts, then upload via serial and import at the end of the week.
I like to write my entries in markdown and I have a script to convert it to pretty html with CSS using pandoc in a temporary file. Since I use markdown I can even include pictures. I haven't really used this feature in a while, but it's still cool to have the option.
You can use tags with custom special characters to differenciate different types. I used @ for ppl and ^ for places. You can also keep your jrnl encrypted, and keep multiple jrnls.
