random nerd tip of the day. The broadway backend (broadwayd in the libgtk-3-bin package) allows you to ran a GTK app in a (remote) browser:

and admire gedit with http://PINEPHONE:8080

Yes. I guess it is possible:

Build some page for a light https server offering which programs to start.

Build a CGI-script for the same server to execute what is needed to start the applications.

Build a proxy service for the same https server.

Proxy traffic of bound to lo through the http server to serve it as https.
