Effortlessly connect your Android smartphone to your Linux system using GSConnect.

@itsfoss a bit niche, but is there a "gsconnect, but in reverse" if I'm running #GNOME (actually, #phosh) on my phone as well? :phosh:

@badrihippo @itsfoss check github.com/andyholmes/valent . I haven't tried it but would be interesting to see how well it works and maybe see it in distributions.

@agx @badrihippo @itsfoss I use this and it works well. I just need to go through and disable some apps sending duplicate notifications because I have them installed on multiple devices.

@Lehmanator @agx yep, I just installed #Valent on my phone and it connected successfully to the #GSConnect shell extension on my desktop! 🎉

Everything seems to work, including turning the phone into a mouse 😁 🐁

(Well, except remotely sending an #SMS through #Chatty, but maybe that's a bit too much to expect already...)

@itsfoss

@badrihippo @Lehmanator @itsfoss Nice. I think chatty lacks the needed interfaces yet (can't link to Gitlab atm).

@agx @badrihippo @Lehmanator @itsfoss I have local packaging ready for Valent; let me know if you want to work on it.
