Best thing for customers is to avoid Apple in the first place and rather channel money to companies supporting user freedom and the #FreeSoftware movement.
@agx @fsfe Absolutely! But if Apple gets through with their behaviour we fear that others will rather adapt Apple's methods than to follow Free Software friendly policies.
