We need to be aggressively challenging the hate mongering that has been normalised by this government, the way their dehumanising language and policies have shifted the Overton window and emboldened fascists and the far right to feel they operate with social licence.
This past week has been a horrific demonstration of where giving hatred social licence leads: baying mobs surrounding asylum seeker housing, & the murder of a 16 year old trans girl who should have been about to have her whole life opening up ahead of her.
