How about, like, as an absolute bare minimum for shipping a replacement for something else, it doesn't introduce any known regressions before you commit to it
@sir Wayland still doesn't support X forwarding
@af lol, yes it does, it has for years
@af X11 forwarding works with Xwayland. Just try it, it works exactly like it normally does, with ssh -Y. It has always worked.
What you want is Wayland forwarding, which is a different matter, and also works now in any case via waypipe
