homogeneity at least in theory is a useful property
@adam @fluffy Edge is just modified Chrome and Chrome is based on Safari rendering engine so we already have zero real diversity. Every site is built around Chrome's quirks like it was with IE back in the day, so even if you made a browser from scratch that followed the official technical specs things would not quite work right.
