I recently came into a Galago Pro (2, I think), and have just arranged to acquire a Kudu3 in an equipment swap. A bit of counting chickens here, but I never thought I'd have the money or luck to own a System76 machine and now I'm going to have two of them!

I just posted an AccuNAS AN6L+B for sale on eBay if anyone is interested. Fully populated with 1 Hitachi 1Tb drive, 4 Samsung 1 Tb drives and 1 Seagate 2 Tb drive. Hasn't been used since the owner died (bequeathed it to me) 5 years ago. I'm looking for a really good 17" laptop, Lenovo or Dell. Make offer.

Our latest episode is out now, go take a listen to Tony and Moss discussing OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and Q4OS distrohoppersdigest.blogspot.c

I downloaded a free PDF file of the Raspberry Pi The Complete Manual. Hope to get some use of it. Sure beats $14.99 at Books-A-Million.

At the time I bought my X4, I needed a more powerful phone for my Uber driving. The ability to run an alternate operating system was not at the top of my list. And it will be quite a while before I have the money to buy another phone.

Distrohoppers' Digest Episode 005 is over 200 downloads only 10 days after release, and episode 004 is almost to 400. We have no backing or advertising and just started this ourselves. Please pass this around. Linux is Fun! feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/

We all know that Google (with Chrome-ium) has at least close to 90% of the browser marketshare on the internet.

Which is your primary browser on your computer?

Remember that Brave, Opera and Edge are Chromium derivatives. I consider Safari to be separate since it's Webkit and not Blink.

Retoot this to get more votes in.

Ubuntu Podcast needs to interview Joshua Lowe. He is a 16 year old whose program, EduBlocks, teaches kids to convert block programs like Scratch to Python. He was just given an all-England honor of Best Young Coder and Best Student, and has been part of the mintCast team for several months now. @Wimpy @popey

I finally threw Mullvad under the bus and got PIA, now that they knocked $3 off their monthly rate. Someday I'll be able to get a multi-month or year plan, but not this month.

I'm trying a new distro. It's beautiful, has a whole lot of great features built in, is based on Ubuntu 19.04... and is written by some ultra-right-wing nutjobs, with a few of the inclusions (built-in tabs on Firefox, included plugins in Kodi) exposing that. Don't have a clue why I would want to visit Prophetic-News.com or Infowars...

Two more days before Tony Hughes and I record another exciting episode of Distrohoppers' Digest. Sabayon, Endeavour OS and many foibles with OpenMandriva.

Distrohoppers' Digest has gone over the 300 downloads mark for both Episodes 003 and 004!

I reformatted my IdeaPad and have installed Linux Mint, Mageia 7, Sabayon, and, just to get my boot back, Ubuntu Budgie 19.04. so far, I have not been able to get Mageia to update. Sabayon looks great, but I really wonder how far I'm going to be able to go with it, as it is based on Gentoo and I know hardly anything about it.

Episode 004 of Distrohoppers' Digest is about to drop. Keep your podcatcher's eyes peeled or get the RSS feed from distrohoppersdigest.blogspot.c

"SMART (surveillance marketed as revolutionary technology)"

That's a great acronym!

Episode 001 of Distrohoppers' Digest has been downloaded over 1,500 times!

Distrohoppers' Digest Episode 003 is in the can, should be available in a day or two.

I can't believe I posted all over the internet that I loaded Slackware 14.2, commented on how it still has KDE 4.12, and got zero response from the people who know me and know I've never run Slackware.

@gdroid@mastodon.technology Questionable Content? Gunnerkrigg Court? Devil's Panties? Girls With Slingshots? Schlock Mercenary? Darths and Droids? Tons of webcomics out there, this selection is far too limited.
