This first one is just pure arrogance. Who TF thinks it's alright to mispronounce someone's name because they think it sounds "stupid"? It's called respecting someone's name. Hopefully this dude changed their mind after 8 years. Also the second one is just plain wrong too. Names are pronounced a specific way for a reason. If you mispronounce ppls names on purpose than you don't respect them. I don't understand why people think this is ok. Even if they're fake it's human decency.
Also who fucking cares how a name is spelled? If it's pronounced a specific way than you fucking respect that unless that person says otherwise. Idfc if video game characters aren't real either.
