the Blloc launcher was a nice idea, but i'm still anxious about the idea of installing an apk through USB debug mode on my phone... and also not knowing if they collect my data or not... the launcher asks for so many permissions...
@adalbertsen Aye, I've been trying it on a spare phone, and overall I like where they are going. But you are very correct, given they are not FOSS, I expect they are gathering at least some data. However, they are based I'm Germany, as far as privacy laws go, and intend to sell the final launcher product... so I'm hopeful they'll stay away from ads and aggressive data capture. The privacy policy is posted in German, so I have not translated it yet...
@techzerker oooh, i didn't know they were based in Germany, now i'm a bit more hopeful 🙂 but still, it would be nice if they went FOSS
