@Suzie97@mastodon.social Someone I know has a 144Hz monitor and the difference is like night and day. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I feel tempted to go and get one myself.

@Cheeseness That would be cool! Here's to you selling millions of copies of your games! ๐Ÿฅ‚ ๐Ÿพ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐Ÿ˜

@Cheeseness I had already considered getting 'Streamlink'. However, I just didn't want to install another piece of software on my computer. I don't really use Twitch much at all anyway. I did check if it was possible to do it just using something like VLC. It's definitely not convenient! ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Cheeseness I haven't really streamed anything before so I wouldn't really know. However, I tried reducing the quality to 360p and it was still buffering. I had to use NoScript to make it functional enough to watch one of your streams.

If it's too difficult though, that's fine. I just wanted to ask anyway. By the way, I really enjoy your streams. Keep it up! ๐Ÿ˜„

@Cheeseness Would you perhaps consider dual-streaming to somewhere like Odysee or even YouTube? Twitch is very unresponsive and it tends to buffer a lot even with reduced video quality settings. ๐Ÿ™

@esmail I just discovered it quite by accident! ๐Ÿ˜‚ By the way, that's a cute dog. Is it yours?

@thelinuxEXP What was the other blog post that you referenced in the video about Red Hat and NVIDIA having worked together to make the kernel drivers open source? I tried searching for it but I couldn't find it.

@BrodieOnLinux @esmail Oops! My bad. I guess I misinterpreted what you said. I apologize. Thanks for clearing it up for me, though. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

@BrodieOnLinux @esmail I agree with Brodie that it is better than nothing.

However, what I don't get is why Brodie implies that we'll have to wait to see if this actually helps improve the Nouveau drivers. If the kernel modules are open source, why would they (potentially) not be able to include it in their project? ๐Ÿค”

@fantinel Welcome! Welcome! ๐Ÿ˜„ I hope you have a great time here.

@JoshStrobl @BuddiesOfBudgie How do you manage your data while jumping between distros? I used to have everything on a cloud storage service (with encryption) but it was just a nuisance to have to download all my data back when I have to upgrade my system.

We've been hearing the news about Microsoft's persistent issues with Xbox server outages. The real persistent issue is that your console phones home to its overlord to ask if you can play a game in the first place.

For anyone looking to update their username and email address for all previously-made commits in a Git repo, take a look at this. It might be a better option for you than 'rewriting' your entire history.

@Cheeseness I am just curious. Is open source? If yes, which license did you use?

@Cheeseness Actually, I might be able to top that. I once 'bent' a bicycle seat quite by accident. My friends have been calling me the 'Man of Steel' ever since. ๐Ÿ˜‚

@bitwarden What about (LBRY)? It also has a smaller but dedicated community around it.
