I just posted my first video on LBRY a few hours ago and I already have nine views. π

COVID-19 is causing many of us to stay at home and practice 'social distancing'. Use Jitsi Meet to keep in touch with friends and family as well as to hold company/team meetings and webinars. Check it out here: https://meet.jit.si.

@Tutanota While the EARN IT Act is definitely not a good idea, is there another approach we can use to protect children from abuse? π€
@coding_hedgehog@mastodon.me.uk @omgubuntu Quite true! Infact, many people who have heard of it still think of it mainly as a command-line interface. The lack of advertising is causing a real issue. π€
@omgubuntu That's pretty neat. Linux may yet attract the masses.
@JoshStrobl Are you guys gonna collaborate with Ikey and his new company, Lispy Snake? #linux #games

@JoshStrobl That looks really nice!
@Tutanota I would love to see how your UI looked back then. π
@resist1984 @Tutanota I am not an expert and I may be wrong but that's probably due to Tutanota not using PGP. They encrypt emails using a custom method for reasons they explained here: https://tutanota.com/faq#pgp. On the other hand, ProtonMail uses PGP. This is one of the key differences between these two great services.
Then, we also have the problem of unencrypted backups on Android and server-client encrypted backups on iOS (over which we have little control) which are 'promoted'. Although, local backups are available, this is not made clearly evident and the process is not very 'streamlined' (to say the least). These issues seem to undermine our privacy despite the strength of the Signal Protocol itself. Don't you think it's time to change? (https://www.thinkprivacy.io/choosing-the-right-messenger)
'Messages that Stay with You'. Are WhatsApp messages really encrypted? True. WhatsApp does use one of the best end-to-end encryption protocols (Signal protocol). However, due to the way WhatsApp works, your messages may not be as private as you think. Firstly, we have the problem of metadata. WhatsApp can seemingly identify the types of files you send, how long you chat with someone and who you chat with.
@protonvpn Do routers from FlashRouters have open source firmware?
@e_mydata Well done! I hope you will extend your support to more recent devices, though, as it becomes increasingly difficult to purchase 'old phones'.
@protonvpn How do you install ProtonVPN on an InvizBox router? You are not one of their supported VPN providers. π€
@JoshStrobl I bet! π I am just curious. Why do you have so many tabs open? Surely, there isn't that much stuff to search.... π€
