Anyone know any way to check if messages between #Protonmail users are really end-to-end encrypted? Critics said it is possible only in their #mobile app and not when one or both parties use #web interface. Is it true? I am looking for a way to experimentally check this 🤔
Well usually the burden of proof is on the critic but if you wanted to experimentally verify that I'd suggest pressing F12 and seeing network requests when you send an e-mail through the web interface. If you see encrypted e-mail then it’s end-to-end encrypted. If you see plaintext then it isn’t.
