Hypothetically: what's the state of Linux tablets for artists these days? One day I'd love to break free of the ecosystems and whatnot, but I have no idea where to begin.

@helveticablanc The state is better than on Windows, because 99% of windows drivers are buggy, and the vast majority of linux drivers are either done by #LinuxWacom or the #Digimend projects, both of which know what they're doing (unlike the dodgy companies repackaging budget tablets).

My recommendation with tablets is to check Digimend or LinuxWacom and see if they support the tablet you're looking at, as then (depending on kernel version) the experience should be plug-and-play.

@Wolthera @helveticablanc I agree. I bought a Huion H640P myself and it works flawlessly on Linux Mint. After some initial configuration, you should be good to go.

In addition to checking the project (digimend.github.io), there are also several review sites you can check for recommendations. (I used addictivetips.com/buying-guide.)
