@geary It would be nice to see Geary being officially supported by ProtonMail Bridge. It's one of the only good-looking and contemporary native email clients for Linux. Are there any plans to work with @protonmail for this?

@protonmail Thanks for considering it. It would be nice to see the process of setting up Bridge with @geary to be way more seamless than it is right now with #mozillathunderbird. It's somewhat complicated and only suited to the more technically savvy users.
@sudo We'd be happy to work on compatibility with @protonmail, but we haven't been approached by them.
However, we simply need standards-compliant SMTP and IMAP servers to connect to, with the usual suite of now-effectively standard extensions like the Lemonade profile, IDLE, UIDPLUS, SPECIAL-USE, etc.
The ProtonMail Bridge has had compat issues in the past, and IIRC may at least one outstanding issue at the moment. So we would encourage them to simply test the Bridge more widely.
