Remember when #QuitFacebook was trending? It's time to remind everyone that Big Tech is not automatically good: https://thenextweb.com/facebook/2020/05/27/facebook-reportedly-knew-its-algorithms-promoted-extremist-groups-but-did-nothing/
We're happy for having found @Mastodon years ago. Here are more privacy-respecting alternatives to Big Tech:

@Tutanota @Mastodon While most of your recommendations are great, I would like to suggest a few changes. Given the recent popularity of #LBRY, it might be a better alternative to YouTube than Vimeo as it is also #foss. Furthermore, while I feel Tresorit is a solid choice, it does not offer many end-users a good value proposition. It might be better if it was suggested to use Cryptomator in conjunction with another cloud service for users who may not be able to afford it.
@protheory8 @Tutanota @Mastodon Honestly, I've personally never used it myself nor do I know much about it besides the fact that it is decentralised like LBRY. The reason I got to know about LBRY was that most of the channels I follow on YouTube started publishing on it as well. What's the difference between #LBRY and #peertube?
@sudo @Tutanota @Mastodon Basically PeerTube is federated like Mastodon and it implements ActivityPub, so you can follow PeerTube users from Mastodon. I don't really know much about it, there a lot of instances. You can check out more info about it here - https://joinpeertube.org.
