Anytime democracy is brought to any people it automatically starts the war machine.
At the beginning everybody gets along, minding their own business. Then democracy comes down upon them. The people, wanting some opportunity for control, start dividing among themselves.
Whether it's by class, ideology, religion, race, geography, profession, or any other excuse. They begin to fight eachother for political power. It's almost as of there is something in democracy that breeds war among people.

People keep telling me I should buy from local businesses, but the more they use their company as activists to push for diversity, inclusivity, social justice, and sustainability, the more I find myself just making my own stuff instead.

Remember when protecting the environment used the be the following:
Reduce
Reuse
Recycle

Now it's all about pushing consumerism by buying sustainable goods.

It doesn't really matter who wins the French election.
The only thing they're going to win is leading the French.
Is that really a win?
