I'm watching Notion, but I dislike apps that are not offline first, online second and Notion has NO offline support. Really a Shane. I'll check out Joplin.

On a flight to Phoenix with my wife and was just realizing I have no real chat/voice options to chat with her without network. Wish one of the chat platforms had a decentralized, peer to peer option to do text / audio chatting over Bluetooth or wifi direct. It's noisey on a plane.

Definitely time to buckle down and learn Python. Seems like every job out there wants some coding element.

I'm also currently fascinated with mesh networking. Really wish I could find a good one to link up with and help build in the Seattle area.

Just realized I haven't really don't an intro

Currently a System Engineer at Amazon, working to switch career paths to a Security Engineer. I really want to get involved with identifying vulnerabilities and coming up with solutions.

I'm a big Cyberpunk fan, so decentralized solutions catches my attention. Also working to teach myself Python when I have time. Looking forward to chatting with everyone.

@gid@cybre.space @zer0her0 I read "The New Prometheus" by Matthew Dobell. Read it Kindle Unlimited for free then bought it. There are a LOT of Cyberpunk books available through Kindle Unlimited.

So I think I was mistaken. I was able to find a couple people I'm following in another instance. I think in this case the client they use doesn't reflect back at much info as I've been used to seeing. Might try logging in with Tusky and see is I get a different experience.

@liaizon I'm trying to figure that out. Things look different from the other Mastodon instances. Might just be missing things. Hope I'm wrong, but I'll own up if I made a mistake 😎

So I'm confused. Thie is obviously a Mastodon instance, but did they cut out the ability to add people from other Mastodon servers? Kind of kills the decentralized nature of this.
