Very few companies can pretend to be able to work without IT. Yet, everyone seems to "go to cloud" because the initial cost seem lower, and "IT isn't our core business".

It's exactly as if I ripped my heart off and plugged a pacemaker with a monthly fee, because pumping blood is not what I intend to do with my life.

I wish companies leaders understood that software is the heart pumping the blood for their company. And the blood is what allows its organs to do their task properly.

@thibaultamartin At least companies are only wasting their own money - what really grinds my gear is when tax payer money is wasted in the exact same way in the public sector.

Seems like most leaders don't even understand what product they are buying, yet they seem to believe they are offered a fair price for it.
