Cooking a nice mushroom risotto for #InternationalWomensDay ...just kidding. I cook all throughout the year. I have this crazy notion of being an equal partner in a relationship, independently of some random event branding some muppet came up with. 🙂

@fabsh I think maybe you misunderstood what the international women's day is about - it's a protest day for equal rights, not some commercial valentine's day 2.0.

Of course it's great that you're doing your share for equality in the relationship, but today is about shedding light on and fighting the systemic issues facing women worldwide – it's far from just some random event branding. It takes more than even Italian food to solve these problems.

That being said, hope the risotto was great!

@sab Bullshit. Equal rights won't be achieved unless you're fighting for them every single day of the year. Protest days are asinine ideas that only server to make activists feel good that are hypocrites the rest of the year.

You've been conned into accepting a branding exercise that only benefits corporations and the establishment as a tool for social change.

You also didn't understand the sarcasm in my original message, but that's beside the point.

@fabsh Also, you seriously think corporations and the establishment benefit from a _protest_ day? What do you think people are protesting against? Counterfactuals?

Sure, corporate interests will always try to cash in on anything – this doesn't do shit to de-legitimize the genuine movement behind this whole thing.

Also, add water gradually to your risotto.
