Voting is not activism. Voting does not replace activism. It does not prevent activism. It does not contradict activism.
In the best case, it can help enable activism.
In the worst case, it can mitigate harm.

@celesteh I think your worst case is very optimistic. I think the worst case for voting is that you enable pathological abusers (government) to claim validity for the institutions that enable their abusive practices.
If you were you a slave, would you vote in an election for which slave driver you preferred?
