is there any reason why now #Mastodon do not have direct access to certain profiles in #Gab? Is that a Gab issue or a Mastodon one. I do have noticed that I do have access to certain Gab profiles. Any thoughts about that?

@EducatingLiberals It is common sense that anything connected to a computer can be hacked. Even the best #operatingsystem which I believe is #Linux can be hacked. It is just a matter of time. Yes, we should all go back to paper ballot.

@zudn maybe, right now I don't know. My problem with #FLOSS is that programmer don't make it simple enough to use and expect everyone to be tech savvy. I might be one, but not everyone can be. Obviously, lack of development is a factor and the fact that most programmers do work on their own free time. But now, I think we are going somewhere, slowly but moving.

@zudn I think there is a software trying to implement what I am saying. This software is called #FreedomBox. It is a software that you can install on a small computer like a #RaspPi and with a click you can download a whole bunch of things like #VPN, #Calendar and now they are working on using #Plemora or #Mastodon with just one click.

@zudn, Yeah, it is really nice to see that now we finally have a protocol to communicate via social media. After all, this is the future. Now what we need is for someone to start selling small servers that we can all connect at home and have our own version of social media own our own servers. What I am liking about #zap is that it looks very artistic. it has a beautiful interface. 😀

So, I have been using #Brave browser a lot lately, and I am really happy with the feature to create a shortcut to the online websites. This works like a native app for your browser. Sweet, now I have #Gab, #Mastodon, #Flote among other sites that I usually use. I got to tell you I am impressed. I can see #Linux working for the masses. Now I am using #LinuxMint on my #Lenovo and man this is working beautifully. I think I can advice people to use this OS.

I have been following the #Coronavirus for a while, and what I have noticed is the over reaction of this"Threat". There are only over 37k confirmed cases world wide and only 811 people have died. Based on the #MarketWatch Sars had a fatality rate of 9.6% compared to the Coronavirus with a rate of 2.1. Isn't that a little extreme to shot down countries with trillions dollars of economy based only on a disease that kills less than the flu? just asking, anybody else has an opinion?
