I need some help.
My spouse and i are trying to figure out a better way to track our finances, while using software i can host on my servers, and that is open source. We have a piece of software but it's double entry accounting. So, are there non-double entry systems that are self hosted, open source, and still allow secure access from external systems? We use a LDAP authentication.
Alternately, any *simplistic* explanations of double entry accounting would be very appreciated. I'm in the process of doing my own research, but any help would be really nice.

Tor Browser for Android 8.5.6 is out now. The latest version for Linux, macOS, and Windows is still 8.5.5.

This update fixes an issue with the aarch64 version, mostly on Android 9, which caused a crash on launch. Apologies to all who were affected.

What software devs can do to combat climate change:

help your local climate groups organise
help in running their digital infrastructure
make them a nice website
if the group is using some FLOSS tool, help making it better

What is hardly going to help combating climate change as a software dev: Shaving off a few CPU instructions on one of your software projects.

Unless you're an exorbitant dickwad who takes private jets everywhere and pisses petrol directly into rivers, your individual contributions to climate change are negligible. All claims otherwise are part of a guilt campaign designed to distract us from the crimes of the capitalist class, and nobody should feel bad about the relatively minor waste etc they produce. While it's obviously nice to stop littering etc., collective action is the only way to stop this.
