So, the #Commodore64 Ultimate has its USB ports, ethernet jack, and HDMI port where the user port would go.
So, what happened to the user port? Well, it's internal. It uses a 24-pin connector on the motherboard and they sell an adapter for you to plug standard C64 user port devices to, or you can optionally poke an extension out through the datasette port to have it go external. But...
Looking at the pinouts of the original, the user port provides 5V power and has both serial and parallel communications.
Hmmm...
5V power.
serial.
internal.

Since our switch from Ubuntu 22.04 LTS to 24.04 LTS as the base for TUXEDO OS, some customers have reported that certain AppImages no longer start. We investigated the issue and were able to reproduce it generally for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and all operating systems based on it. We found that it affects only AppImages built on Electron. The AppImage of our own TUXEDO WebFAI Creator is also impacted.

Chat Control doesn't just concern Europeans. It concerns all of us.
These kind of regulations will come for all of us, everywhere, if we do not ALL push against it everywhere.
If you do not understand how this is all intertwined, I invite you to read more privacy news and in-depth analysis. Because we must all support each other's privacy fights.

Is it just me, or is the Git #FFmpeg website #Anubis integration broken?
I can get through Anubis on other sites, but on https://git.ffmpeg.org it always fails for me with "invalid response".
Hacker News is my guilty pleasure. I just love the "How I sold my 'basic Unix tool rewritten as a 300 MB Node.js Docker container' startup' for $500M" posts.
Half the comments on the "FFmpeg switches to @forgejo" posts are complaints about the anime girl from Anubis.
You Silicon Valley tech-bro motherfuckers who think it's OK to DDoS small websites are the sole reason we had to put her there in the first place.
