Hey, Linux people: a LOT of folks are screaming off Windows right now.

Be. Kind. To. Them.

They don't know much yet, so they are going to ask really basic questions. If you're KIND, you might get some to give it a try and stick to it bc they know they can ask for help. If you're unkind, you're showing them using Linux will be *worse* than Windows. If you can't bring yourself to be kind, then SAY NOTHING. Let others pick up that slack.

Ok, so it looks like this toot blew up.

And what can I say? If you liked it, I by all means encourage you to try #NetBSD out for yourself! If you've had enough experience in a Unix command-line, and isn't afraid to do some reading on the documentation, it's a very rewarding experience.

You can see how I ran NetBSD on the first Raspberry Pi (2012 Model B) in this post for the Old Computer Challenge. If *that* was usable, anything else is going to be great!

#Debian 13 Trixie now officially has #HDR support built right into the Gnome desktop out of the box. After upgading my desktop now has options for HDR right in the display settings, 🙂

You obviously have to have an HDR display connected; my laptop doesn't have these options listed because it doesn't have an HDR display.
