Just a little reminder that here in Europe, we play the same exact video games as youth from the United States
We do not have (daily) school shootings however
Instead of blaming video games, start looking at the super easy to get weapons on each corner of street problem
Games are not the problem, weapons are 🇺🇸
And ofc guns alone are not the "only problem", I am aware
But it is one of the major ones and people love to divert attention from this to other matters
But instead of using matters like the LACK OF MENTAL HEALTH CARE they rather talk about their "rights"
Other people have the right not to die, think about that instead 😉
@stux education on firearms is sorely lacking. Any weapon must be understood and handled properly so that anyone can defend ones self.
@johnlogic @stux as someone who lives in the U.S. I think the problem is the media companies making the people who commit atrocious acts with firearms into a glorification or pseudo glorification of their actions. The media is not assisting in curing the issues, but rather, exacerbating it.
@nerd7473 @stux
Right on!
In recent decades, I've seen some improvement in reporting: media companies have learned not to name the killers, not to give them the fame that some seem to seek.
