Hi @codemonkeymike I know you do some refurbishing, linux-ifying, and donating of used laptops. I know of a non-profit org that could use one or two refurbished devices. Is there a way you or your organization could help? How can I get in touch?
The myth that social media harms kids drives me bonkers. So I tried to frame my thinking of risks vs. harms in today's rant: https://zephoria.substack.com/p/risks-vs-harms-youth-and-social-media
A few days ago I wrote an uncharacteristically angry blog post about Mozilla and the state of the browser market.

Francesca Gino’s grotesque effort to sue the Data Colada people for defamation and interfering with her career has been dismissed. Good! Her defamation claim against Harvard has also been dismissed. She can continue against Harvard for breach of contract. Because they seem to have messed up procedural aspects of their review of her work, like which policy they followed and why, I'd bet the most likely outcome now is that Harvard settles—i.e. pays her off—and she leaves.
