@zak The battery life is fantastic. I typically go 2-3 days between charges. @Luigi311 wrote a review with a more formal testing and gave it a 5/5 on battery. https://blog-d.luigi311.com/furilabs-flx1/
@fesshole Never Eat Soggy Waffles is what works for me.
If there's anything that illustrated the hollowness of the Democratic Party as an effective opposition for me, it's this.
Yesterday, I watched a video of a sitting US Senator being thrown to the ground and cuffed by fed goons for asking questions of the fed official he has direct oversight authority over.
Within minutes, I'd gotten DOZENS of texts from Dems and Dem orgs asking for $5-$50 to "fight fascism."
That's it. "Are you terrified that your country is slipping into fascism? Pay me."
@zak I have similarly basic phone needs. And have been daily driving the linux phone FLX1 from FuriLabs for the last few months. And it basically meets the needs you mention. In the US they only support T-Mobile.
Why philosophy of physics?
Some physicists reject philosophy as a distraction from ‘real’ science but it is in fact both useful and beautiful

@rmathematicus Nicely put. I cherish the Science Studies Reader that he edited.
Question: do you really have control over your data? Depending on the formats you use, that answer might be no. Here's why the Open Document Format (as used by LibreOffice and other suites) is important: https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2025/05/23/why-is-odf-important/ #openstandards
