I feel like I'm the odd one out as I have a two mastodon accounts, one for personal non FOSS stuff (mastodon.social and one for FOSS (fosstodon.org)

This way folks who follow my streaming can do that but folks in FOSS who don't want to can ignore it.

@fishfulpenguin seems pretty natural to me. I've been thinking about a second account but mostly to try out a different server. I would expect lots of churn in accounts for the next few months at least.

@mcneely having another account for when the servers get hit even harder with more users might be a good idea though it would also effect other folks who are still on that original server.

@fishfulpenguin yeah I'm sort of in a holding phase at this point. I've been on my server for a few years now and the way it is setup I can't see anything but from ppl I follow. This meant that before last month it was always SUPER quiet. So I've been debating self hosting or moving. But watching everyone learn about being an is very off putting. Just making a fallback account seems like the smart middle ground comparatively.

@mcneely it's good to have an account on one of the main servers from the devs for sure. I was also looking at self hosting though mainly for a few friends.
