According to the CDC’s best estimates, the Infected Fatality Rate (IFR) of Covid-19 is between 0.2 and 0.3%, which is much lower than the possible 0.8% estimated back in March. So the virus is much less deadly than initially estimated (thank God).
Going with the higher part of the range (0.3), this means the virus is only 37% as deadly as originally estimated. 0.3 / 0.8 = 0.375 (37.5%)
