@z428 Funny you should ask :) - we use BigBlueButton & Jitsi Meet, Rocket.Chat, NextCloud + OnlyOffice, and Mailcow - I just wrote this up for people's reference : ) - https://tech.oeru.org/working-home
I feel like reminding people that we've just passed the 1 year anniversary of a Fox News host telling the world he doesn't wash his hands because germs don't exist since he can't see them.

For the past 18 months or so, I've had the privilege of participating in a pilot of Rocket.Chat by GC - Government Canada. Their IT folk are taking their Digital Nations ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_9 ) ambitions seriously... Interestingly, their thousands of users *prefer* Rocket.Chat over Slack & MSFT Teams.
Given that we're in a time where toilet paper people are going "oh my goodness I have to buy up all the toilet paper before SOMEONE ELSE buys it!" I think it's time we had a full and frank discussion about bidets, bum sprayers and other more effective ways of keeping yourself clean.
The truth is that of all the most common methods around to clean your bum, toilet paper is the most expensive, uncomfortable, unhygienic and environmentally unfriendly. Alternatives follow in next toot.
I want to live in a world where "what if the internet goes down" is like "what if the freeway is closed". We should still be able to network with our families, neighbors, and communities, and I think it's a mistake to depend on the Internet for those things.
Working on SSB has been really eye-opening to see how much we can do with software that's DIY / P2P / E2E / friend2friend, and I'm really optimistic that we can build and organize small friendly networks that never truly go down. ❤

The Smithsonian announced today that they have released 2.8 million images into the public domain (CC0 license). In celebration of this I made a bot you can follow that will post one random image from the set every 8 hours:

The dual boot option for the Cosmo was officially launched yesterday. The Debian distro seems to work, at least up to the point where I try to install anything. Or goes into suspend mode. I'll be able to see what this is capable of Real Soon Now. cc @mhoye
