The BBC studied the use of its content in LLM output. It found that 91% of the output had mistakes. 51% of the mistakes were "significant."

I will not give up this fight. This technology is detrimental to human knowledge.

The U.K. government's secret order demanding that Apple allows access to the cloud-stored encrypted data of any of its customers anywhere the world is an "emergency," according to critics, and would set a dangerous global precedent that would embolden authoritarian regimes to demand the same.

Developer applies at @ubuntu, goes through extensive hiring filters and many interviews, gets an offer in hand, accepts the offer, quits their job, only for Canonical to retract the offer.

Don't work for Canonical.

In addition to formal government institutions, Musk is also trying to tear apart Wikipedia

That is almost certainly, as this analysis notes, because Wikipedia is "a last bastion of shared reality" ...

... and Musk, in contrast, only wants online sources that repeat his sort of conspiratorial blather

💬"Not so sweet: Consumer goods giants in putin’s service

Mars, Mondelez International, Nestle Pepsi Procter and Gamble bolster the kremlin's budget and normalize business-as-usual for russian consumers & investors.

This sends a dangerous message: that global brands are undeterred by russia's illegal war.

But Unilever has shattered the myth that leaving russia is impossible. Their exit proves that even large, complex businesses can leave russia if they prioritize responsibility over excuses."

I have a FP4 with /e/OS and don't experience that, but better paths for support are either the community forums or the Telegram support channel:

The Debian Publicity Team will no longer post on X/Twitter. We took this decision since we feel X doesn't reflect Debian shared values as stated in our social contract, code of conduct and diversity statement. X evolved into a place where people we care about don't feel safe. You are very much invited to follow us on bits.debian.org , on micronews.debian.org/ , or any media as listed on wiki.debian.org/Teams/Publicit #debian

I took my niece to the Holocaust Museum yesterday.
Today marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
It still baffles me how so many of my own people are willing to support today's leaders who are copy-pasting Hitler's playbook.
I used to wonder how an event as atrocious as the Holocaust could transpire.
Today, I see how easily we can be led astray with hate. How quickly we will turn & look the other way when it benefits us to do so

"Never Again" is happening before our eyes💔
