Impressively, my @PINE64 #PinePhonePro already does 9 / 10 of my essential daily tasks and 4-9 of my 11 "nice to have" non essential list (haven't tried all of them).
The only essential thing left is the ability to take a photo.
Has anyone heard what development is happening on the PPP camera drivers? I haven't heard who, if anyone, is working on these. Given that the front facing camera is the same #ov5640 as the og #pinephone rear camera, shouldn't that already work? @martijnbraam ?

@Blort What about battery life? Mine still doesn't have working wake from suspend and the time with screen off without suspend is about 3 hours.

It varies a lot by which OS, version, desktop environment and apps you use, however the other night I forgot to plug my PPP in and it still had 12% battery when I woke up, so I was getting significantly more than 3 hours there (8 hours without even a full charge). That said, it's probably still well short of most people's expectations though (although personally I'm fine with the battery life, but that's just me).

@Blort Honestly, I'd be happy with 12 hours with light use at the moment! I'm using the latest beta of Manjaro with Phosh, dark them of course.
You wouldn't happen to know how to convert beta to daily? Switching to the unstable branch?
@Blort Fair play! I'm going to see if I can all day the latest unstable branch of Manjaro on the PPP with the keyboard case. I think wake from suspend is fixed on it so we will see.
@Blort Update for you if your interested at all. I changed branches to unstable and did a full day test today 08:00 to 22:00 and the battery is still at 50%. Wow, that's a huge improvement! Only issue I'm facing is the same bug I have with every install, it doesn't like an APN with an empty password so I have to manually enable it every time with nmcli. Might have to try and fix that myself this weekend.

Sorry. Not sure. I end up reflashing the SD card every couple of days or so, so whenever I want to switch, I just dd a different version to the card... 😆
