What are your thoughts about smartphones running on #Linux ?

(Just researching options that could let me decrease the grip Apple has on me 😅 (or any tech giant) and also looking to extend the lifespan of my electronic devices with stuff that can be repaired (or that we can just do a thing as simple as changing the battery 😛)
@pcublogue I have daily driven a handful of PinePhones for a few years trying to help the fedora mobility sig get a working image. It was not great. The devices all suffer heavily as daily use... Was doable, but not comfortable.
I currently use my Librem5 as my daily driver using PostmarketOS and jmp.chat as my provider. I mostly just abandoned phones altogether and usually do not even carry one with me now. Doing calls and sms whenever I am home from a computer instead haha.

I've been daily driving a Librem 5 mobian for awhile now. It's a bit slow, but gets the job done. Main complaint is that sometimes the modem stops working every once in awhile and needs to be switched on and off.
