I am learning to love snap packages. Everything "contained" in a single package, automatic updates and restarts for things like Nextcloud, and the fact that when you uninstall one it "actually" removes everything instead of leaving configuration files sitting all over the place, like in your home folder. So if you mess one up, just uninstall and reinstall and it's a clean slate, 🙂 I've moved both my Nextcloud and Plex services over to snaps.
One lesson I've learned about being online. Don't give your email address out to anybody you don't actually plan on exchanging meaningful communications with, including your employer. A lot of the spam I get comes from third parties who are affiliated with companies I've given my email address to. Example, I just got yet another unsolicited marketing email from "GovDelivery", and at the main bottom of the message it says "On behalf of Kentucky Personnel Cabinet".

First Librem social post. My Facebook is supposed to be deleted in the next day or two, so hopefully this will be a more privacy oriented service for interacting with others. I'm not above paying for a good product, and if this turns out to be one that I don't have too worry about farming me for data points, I may increase my donation amount to reflect that. I don't have a need for all the Librem services since I run my own Nextcloud instance, but the social platform could be interesting, 😁
