I posted my last video with Emily here and on Twitter. I have nearly four times as many followers on Twitter... Yet my Mastodon post got three times the engagement.

It would have got ZERO engagement on Twitter if Emily hadn't liked and retweeted it.

I was interviewed about supply chain security (around 15 min mark) in a longer CNBC feature about manufacturing phones in the USA. In short, it's less about trust concerns with any particular country/govt., and more about reducing the links in the supply chain to reduce the opportunities to tamper with hardware.

Our Made-in-USA-electronics Librem 5 USA phone also got a number of shout-outs. Pretty neat!

@simonforgues@pouet.chapril.org j’espère que tu as tes pneus d’hivers…..moi non…..

The Greek government is accused of spying on journalists and politicians using Predator software.

But it's a EU-wide scandal: @irpinvestigates look at the companies involved and the role of Italy's surveillance industry.

Are existing regulations enough? nitter.net/irpinvestigates/sta

@trusttrist je ne suis pas contre l’idée. J’étais, originalement, dans une instance canadienne qui as fermée.

Mon instance actuelle n’as pas de fil local et ça me semble comme une perte.

WoW, félicitations!!! Comment on se sent?

There was once a dream of a decentralised web.

As recently as a decade ago we had a still very active blogosphere, connected via blogrolls and RSS. Specialised web forums were still mainstream and messenger apps could largely interoperate.

Centralised social media slowly ate that dream. It had plenty of positives, but it pulled more and more people away from the open web and into corporate walled gardens.

Some people kept the dream of decentralisation alive. And now you are here.

@killyourfm this is what the internet was designed for. Thank you

@Rasta thank you. My life is now complete! ☺️🤗

We’re Probably Going to Fuck This Up
